I Wanna Dance with Somebody (2022)

Project Brief

I Wanna Dance with Somebody is a musical biopic of Whitney Houston directed by Kasi Lemmons. The production filmed in Boston and the film was to be released in December 2022.

GFS was engaged to develop a health & safety plan and evaluate testing suppliers on behalf of the production. We also supplied a team of four H&S safety officers to oversee the implementation of H&S protocols on location in Boston.

Production Notes

I Wanna Dance with Somebody is the joyous, emotional and heart-breaking celebration of the life and music of Whitney Houston – the greatest female R&B pop vocalist of all time. With BAFTA winner and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor Naomi Ackie starring in the main role, the film tracks Houston’s journey from obscurity to musical super stardom.
