I Wanna Dance with Somebody (2022)

Project Brief

I Wanna Dance with Somebody is a musical biopic of Whitney Houston directed by Kasi Lemmons. The production recently wrapped in Boston and the film is set to be released in December 2022.

GFS was engaged to develop a Covid-19 plan and evaluate testing suppliers on behalf of the production. We also supplied a team of four Covid-19 safety officers to oversee the implementation of Covid-19 protocols on location in Boston.

Production Notes

I Wanna Dance with Somebody is the joyous, emotional and heart-breaking celebration of the life and music of Whitney Houston – the greatest female R&B pop vocalist of all time. With BAFTA winner and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actor Naomi Ackie starring in the main role, the film tracks Houston’s journey from obscurity to musical super stardom.
